The UX and Design Team at Fundbox was a dream. Individually and collectively, this team is unique in their talent and humanity. I highly recommend working with them, or just knowing them, if you get the chance.

Shir Lavi is a senior product designer, instructor, and mentor.

Shir is one of the most motivated people I’ve ever worked with, always striving for the next challenge, and reaching outside her comfort zone to grow. In the almost 3 years we've worked together I have seen her develop in so many different directions professionally, including launching an internship program that changed junior designers' lives. Seriously. Ask them. Her dedication and patience are just beyond. Also…she will always tell it like it is, she will always pick you up if you’re down, and she will never stop learning and striving to make her team, product, and discipline better.

Michal Simkovits is a senior product designer.

Michal is an expert in all the product design things: flows, wireframes, design, mobile, web, animation, video, tools... also marketing in a pinch. And she codes. She is legit a genius at both UX and UI — everything she designs is beautiful, research-based, and optimized for user experience and business needs. She works fast and also works around the clock, and makes “mind blown” contributions to design reviews. She has the best taste — she designs everything in my life, from resetting my engagement ring, to choosing my living room furniture, to designing the images in my forethcoming book and my presentations for all my conference talks. She’s walking good vibes.

Noa Saroya is a marketing designer and junior product designer.

Noa is a top notch marketing designer: She can work with anyone, and everything she produces is gorgeous and goal-oriented. She works in all the mediums (digital, video, print, etc.) But here’s the thing: She’s also a newly minted product designer. While working full time as a marketing designer, she did a course, and an internship, in product design and totally crushed them both. She is so positive, present, warm, and real, the room is better with her in it.

Naama Hirsh is a design team lead.

We’ve been through a lot together. 4 years ago we were the only ones on this team, with no leadership or process. But through good relationships, strong collaboration, professionalism, and initiative, Naama turned lemons into hi tech lemonade. She was flexible always stepping up where the company needed her. She shines in both product and marketing design, then shifted into a more strategic role as team lead, and brought fresh and inspiring rituals to our practice. She’s also our resident DJ and reminder to stay connected with our inner child — never stop playing, or dancing, or collecting unicorns.

Shiran Birenbaum is a product designer.

Shiran and I have built so much together, from nothing. From half a product spec and half a business spec, we’ve built experiences that work. We’ve started with sticky problems and emerged with elegant solutions thanks to her mix of skills, knowledge, commitment, respect, and openness. After 1 year I feel like she’s been on the team forever because we are a well-oiled machine that couldn’t have happened this fast.

Sonia Sheinman is a senior marketing designer.

Sonia is one of the most professional, experienced, skilled marketing designers I’ve ever worked with. And she can draw. She’s inspired by all kinds of art — and even got our whole team out to a museum. And she’s got style (I may or may not have some of her clothes in my closet ;) As a teammate, and friend, Sonia’s extremely thoughtful, respectful, and brings perspective and grounding to stressful situations.

Nadav Yaron is a senior director of UX and design.

Nadav is a true leader. He is a natural mentor, a talented manager, and an unbelievabley warm, empathetic, supportive, and wise guy. He has an insane amount of experience and knowledge, and can meet any designer/UXer where they are and grow them from where they are to where the want to be. When he joined our team it was a tiny hot mess; in 3.5 years he grew it into an absolute dream — a big team of fun, talented designers/UXers whose strengths compliment each other, with synergetic chemistry (professional and personal), who support each other (professionally and personally), who are always growing their skill sets, delivering the highest quality work, taking ownership and pride in what they do, and absolutely love coming to work just to see each other’s faces.
